About the project

Technological advancements, especially in smartphone sensor technologies, enhance scientific education in lower secondary schools by making abstract concepts tangible. This research investigates how these technologies foster students’ conceptual and epistemic understanding through multimodal explanations. It aims to refine educational practices for integrating sensor technologies in scientific inquiry, strengthening students’ ability to support explanations with quantitative data for better argumentation.
